Question and Answers

ihaveyouranswer My husband and I just bought a used Zenith LCD TV and the volume is horrible...? - ihaveyouranswer I have to turn the volume all the way up to even hear it. Is there a way to fix this? Or could it possibly be caused by the cable box? Thanks :(
Best Answer: Try different cable channels--low volume on all? It could be the cable box, but to be sure, try different signal sources, i.e. a DVD player. Also, try different inputs on the back of your set, i.e. AV1 and 2 or HDMI 1 and 2. Still low volume on all? Try different cables. If none of that does the trick, it's not the cable box nor your cables; it's the set, but you have at least one more option. Connect a stereo or theater receiver with external speakers to the TV's auxiliary output jacks and use that for your audio--should work fine. - kg7or
If the TV has a headphone jack, you could plug computer speakers into it. Since they can have their own amplifier, the sound could be as loud as you like. - OtherGuy
