if i leave my radio on all day will it become damaged? - its just that i got burgled recently and im scared of it happening again so i like to leave it on while im at work so it sounds like im in! my dad said i shouldnt leave it on as it will burn the system out. its played through a Denon stereo. thanks in advance.
Best Answer: If it's not too loud it should be fine. Just make sure you don't play anything really low or really high pitched for long periods of time as your speakers won't be too happy. - A cheesecake monster
It is actually better for it to leave it on all the time. This is because the warmth keeps moisture out of the electronics, and reduces thermal shock due to power changes that cause expansion and contraction that eventually contribute to failure. The cost in electricity? not much for a radio. Keep the volume reasonable, and the speaker will last for decades.
