Question and Answers

raj m Projector gurus please answer? - raj m I am a novice as far as projectors are concerned. I recently got myself an infocus X9 (DLP 720p) but noticed that it lacks the crispness that my tv (Sony Bravia 720p) has to offer, say for example i was watching TBS (HD) but when i look at it on the TV it looks crisp but on the screen via the projector the HD channel looks like the Non-HD TBS channel. If i connect the projector via a HDMI cable, will the projector display the same crisp image as the TV?. Thanks in advance
Best Answer: In order to view HD quality broadcasts, the X9 must be connected via HDMI; not thru S Video, composite or component imputs. And of course, make sure to change the X9 view from theatre movie to HD video. Good luck! - VicSEO
What type of projector screen are you using? 720P connection is via component cable and 1080P for HDMI. More than likely your problem is the screen. Tv is always better than most projectors unless you spend alot of money on the screen ($2,500) and projectors 1080P for around $3,400. White walls, white sheets or cheap screen does not display good quality picture. - bbt91945
