Lily of the Valley Best quality printer for the money? - Lily of the Valley I had a Lexmark X2600 and it does the job but the ink, especially the color, isn't of the best quality and fades/smears quite often. What's the best printer to buy that's not too expensive, will print with a good quality ink, has refill cartridges aren't too expensive either, and would be compatible with my Dell Inspiron laptop?
Best Answer: There is a list of top inkjet printers here: http://www.castleink.com/_Top10InkjetPrinters.html Personally I've always had good luck with HPs so I'd recommend that brand. - William E
Get an Epson at Epson.com and then Get a CISS for your printer. It will save you TONS of MONEY, never change a cartridge again and it will pay for itself in a month. http://www.inkproducts.com/ink-store/ - bsghost123
According to several posts here, the kodak output doesnt match that of the name brands like Epson, Canon and HP and the printers seem to have problems pretty early. Sure there cartridges are $10 compared to Epson's $15, but no one is making compatibles for them. You can get Epson compatible cartridges for $3 which hold almost double the ink at http://www.ccs-digital.com I've been using them for years. If you're looking for a reliable all-in-one inkjet with good quality output, a solid warranty and inexpensive ink, look at the Epson workforce or NX series. Right now you can get a Workforce 500 copier/scanner/printer/fax with document feeder for $69 delivered at http://www.compsource.com/ttechnote.asp?part_no=C11CA40201&vid=155&src=F The best warranty in the industry. For a year, Epson will fedex a replacement and pick up the old one should you need it.
If I were you, I believe I'd be seriously looking at the new Kodak EasyShare printers. They seem to produce high quality prints for the money. And the ink cartridges are very inexpensive. I believe the black in cartridge is $10 and the tri-color cartridge is $15! That's not bad! If anyone should know about producing quality photos and copies, it's Kodak! - Smokies Hiker
