mikehouse_99 I have an HD satellite receiver? - mikehouse_99 I have an HD satellite receiver thru satellite service. However I have an older Zenith projetion tv that's not HD ready. What can I do short of buying a new set to get an hdmi connection?
Best Answer: Nothing but it wouldn't matter anyway. If the tv isn't hd then you wont see anything higher than the tvs resolution (480i ?) even if you had a digital connection. - Golfer
The HD in HDMI means "high definition." If you don't have an HD TV, there's no point in being interested in an HDMI connection. But the realistic answer is, you are paying for HD service from your provider, so it would seem logical to spring for a modern HD set that can display such content. The prices now are about half of what they were 2 years ago when I bought mine, and the vendors are competing heavily to make a sale, so this might be the time. - kg7or
