Cerwin Vega! VS-120 Floor Speakers? - Terry T i just purchased a set of large,vintage 1992 cerwin vega vs-120 floor speakers for $19.99 for the pair at my local goodwill.the speakers were $49.99 for the pair but i wheeled and dealed and got them to lower the price.the speakers are in very nice condition.they each weigh about 60 lbs and are fairly powerful from what i can tell,but i havent pushed them yet.they have 12'' woofers,4'' mids,and 1'' tweeter,heavy duty 5 way binding post wire hookups,plus fuse protection.they still have the original fuses installed,un-blown,plus the spares.anyway,my question is,who else thinks i got a good deal?im happy with them.share your input and what these speakers were realy worth used.thanks!

Best Answer: If they are in good condition, then yes, you got a VERY good deal. $20/pair is dirt cheap for any pair of tower speakers, especially Cerwin Vegas considering they probably retailed for $400-$500/pair back when they were new. And even if you don't like them, you could probably sell them at a profit on ebay or craigslist. To get the most out of your speakers, you need a good amp though. Cerwins like power, the more you feed them the better they sound. I know because I have a pair of VE-12's(basically a newer version of the VS-120's) - canderton01

The only thing that matters is your own opinion. You should like a guy that just bought a car and now whats to know if got a good deal. Put it this way, it's to late you can't return them and no one has one to sell. Just enjoy what you purchase. - bbt91945
