Other computer wont connect to internet? With linksys wirelesss adapter? - Tony Z Hi. The computer I am currently on is the main computer that i pay to get internet for. The local Internet. And upstairs i have this computer for my son and he has a little Linksys Adapter that goes into the USB plug. And it always works. He gets his internet feed from a wireless connection to this computer. I also have a Belkin Thing (Don't know the name off the top of my head) that gives off the internet signal. And He hasn't had internet for awhile. I have repeatedly restarted, unplugged and plugged in, repaired internet connection and scanned for a signal. It wont find my computer signal and it always does. So what should I do?

Best Answer: ive used diffrent adaptors so diffrent brands should work fine, are you using adapter on your main computer as well?. normally if one aint working i try on another computer to test it, may have software conflicts that are stopping your sons one from workin, was there any other connections from neighbours that your sons computer picked up before when was working? might be good idea to re-install adapter, ive done that on my belkin before when said its not plugged in and worked fine after that hope that helps - scorpio

Do 1 of 2 things, Buy a linksys thing for your computer, or buy a belkin one for his. That way they will see eachother for sure. - Ksu
