living forever with technology? - I do believe that in 50, 100, or 200 years, we will have so much insight into the subatomic and quantum workings of the electron and the brain, that what I say is well grounded in reality. The plan involves the inter workings of the brain....recent discoveries of the brain show it to be not too much unlike a computer...the brain is a receptor and transmiiter of electromagnetic pulses.....electricity in the form of particles, real ,physical particles of mass and energy....thought is not some mystic spirit..but rather just a wave of enegry similiar to the energy in a lightbulb. The plan deals with these pulses, and a possible means to recreate them. However, before I get to major point (i AM saving the best for last) I should make it clear that the technology required may not be available in our lifetime...say maybe 50-150 years (no more than that. Or maybe it will be, and I'm under estimating our capabilities) So,we'd need to keep our sleves alive a little longer we could say, clone ourselves, and fiind a way to transplant the brain. Our conciousness is all in the brain, and this is what matters. Or we could use some battery to keep everything running. Who knows. Gene therapy may do the trick, thats where you would into this project. The final stage is much more complicated....in short, the plan is to recreate the electromagnetic pulses in the brain that we experience in 'real life.' For example, the computer you're seeing right now , that image, doesnt come from your eye, it comes rom pulses sent to and back from the brain. A microchip in the brain, optic fibers connected to a battery, or software system, could in a way help us recreate those signals (the matrix movie sugested planting the brain into a computer system....that would not work, because the brain has to interpret the signals itself via the central nervous system, not "plug in" to an unconcious computer) Obviously, it's much more complicated than that...I have far more extensive research, and I'm in contact with others in regard to this topic (including stephen hawking, who did reply) What I'll need is time, money, and a massive undertaking. Of course I have a patent for this(not that I think a patent helps in any way for scientific theories) Over the next few decades, I hope to start an organzation, world wide, which will keep working untilsuch tech. is ready...say 100 years from now. What I need from YOU, if to keep us alive until then.....
Best Answer: I doubt someone who contacted Stephen Hawkins would publish something here.... - Tukajo
