Kurt M Sayo flat screen monitor is not working? - Kurt M I have a soyo flat screen computer monitor and all it does is blink on and off. Is this an easy fix and if so how? thank you
Best Answer: Here are some things you can try: Make sure that both the video and power cables are plugged in nice and tight. Check to see if any of the pins on either end of the video cable are bent. Try plugging the monitor into another computer. If the monitor has a detachable cable, try swapping the cable out for one that you know works. If your computer has multiple video ports on the back, try it in another port. If none of these work, then the monitor is probably broken/defective. If it's a few years old, it could be because the bulbs inside are dying out. Sometimes you can replace them, but this may end up costing as much as just buying a new monitor. If it's not very old, it may still be under warranty, in which case you should contact the manufacturer and have them fix or replace it. -
