Question and Answers

I have a Gigabyte GN-WP01GS PCI WLAN card for wireless access but cant connect directly with Ethernet.? - Running windows 7, 64 bit. Like i said my wireless card connects, but if I want to directly connect to my router with an Ethernet cable, it wont. The computer wont even acknowledge that there is a cable connection. I had windows vista before and the direct connection worked fine, but had removed the card due to a similar problem, but now I have to have it in just to access the internet.
Best Answer: annorax64 wasn't reading correctly. You said it worked - the cable - under Vista, but not W7. (You and I know W7 isn't Santa Claus thank you very much.) Simply download and install the correct driver for your ethernet card. I AM SANTA CLAUS BABY! YEAH! -
Your Ethernet card is defective. If it stopped working under Vista, what makes you think it will magically start working under Windows 7. Windows 7 is not Santa Claus. - annorax64
