Help my akai tv has sound but no picture? - Girl it has been on four hours straight, and the screen feels really hot. I can change channels and listen, but nothing shows up, just black. I use it as a of and just beocre the screen turned back, I had pressed the source button a few times. Both sources do not work. It is a flat plasma that we bought at least two years ago. It won't respond to the menu button. PleSe help me, my parents will be really mad. Should I just let it cool down for an hour?

Best Answer: Try unplugging it for an hour or so or try change sources , if the computer ever fell asleep while it was plugged in it is possible it triggered a sleep mode in the tv. Most will do such a thing. It is doubtful that the computer caused any damage to it but i would advise against using a plasma tv as a computer monitor because burn in WILL eventually occur with a static image left on the screen constantly. - kiyoshi_wolf
