Best Answer: The wide angle will allow you to shoot pictures of sweeping vistas outdoors, and indoor shots of more of the room. For groups, it will allow you to fit more people in a tighter space. The telephoto will allow you to take pictures of things far away and make them look closer. It's good for shooting birds and other small animals, sports from farther up in the stadium, and for getting in tight in a portrait shot. -
