EGR Whats the DEAL? Comparing a 42' Insignia 1080/120hz to a 40' Toshiba Regza 1080/120hz? Which to get? - EGR Whats the DEAL? I am shopping TVS and am stuck on 2. These 2 models Insignia® - 42" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV with a 2 year warranty or Toshiba - REGZA / 40" Class / 1080p / 120Hz / LCD HDTV with a 1 year warranty All my reviews and research says Toshiba. But wanted Y! Answers opinions before I make a final choice.
Best Answer: I would recommend the Toshiba! The Toshiba will be more reliable then the Insignia and have better processors for a better overall picture quality! Insignia's are a cheap house brand of Best Buy and tend to lack in reliability and pic quality! Just FYI, if you're looking for the absolute best in picture quality and reliability...i HIGHLY recommend a Panasonic Plasma TV! Panasonic Plasma TV's are the most reliable and best performing TV's in the world! Panasonic 42" 1080p(TC-P42U1): http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Panasonic+-+VIERA+/+42%22+Class+/+1080p+/+600Hz+/+Plasma+HDTV/9244301.p?id=1218066284214&skuId=9244301 This Plasma TV from Panasonic has an outstanding contrast ratio of 30,000:1 native; 2,000,000:1 dynamic! Plus a near instant response time of .001ms and a refresh rate of 600hz. Unbeatable picture quality and motion sharpness! Hope this helps! - Cornelius
Obviously the Toshiba. Insignia is of lower class than Sony, Toshiba, Sharp and so fourth. Toshiba makes nice TV's and the screen will be much higher quality with the Toshiba. - Stage B
