Question and Answers

TT Need help installing my printer? - TT I'm going to answer here just in case I don't get answers from the Printers Section Since I got Windows 7 and my HP LaserJet 1006 Printer started spazzing out so I decided to uninstall and reinstall the printer without thinking. So I uninstall but I can't reinstall it. I get to every single point except the USB Cable part. I see the USB Cable is plugged in so what's holding it back? Is it the Printer Driver thing because I don't know what that is and Windows 7 did tell me where to install the driver but the link was dead or something.
Best Answer: Most likely the print driver. Go to the hp website and find your printer and support for it there should be a driver page. download drivers for windows 7. good luck. - john e
Hello TT, Try to re-install the printer software, only this time, be sure to have the USB cable unplugged from the printer (or the USB port at the computer and/or hub). During installation you *should* be prompted to plug in the USB cable. Hope this helps, dtcom - DotCom
