Which Laptop Brand is Better? - Bernie P. Ok so I'm getting a new Laptop I've had HP, Compaq, Dell, and my current one is a Toshiba... However I was wondering out of the brand I'm looking what people thought made a better laptop (brand) and why? DELL HP COMPAQ TOSHIBA SONY VIZIO ACER

Mac's the best , If you ask me . But from these options ,COMPAQ,hands down. cos it's fast,accurate,doesn't need much repairing and inexpensive.

Based on mechanics, design and durability alone I would say a Apple Mac Book hands down. The obvious issue there being the OS if you don't want to run OSX. Second place I would give to Thinkpad/Lenovos as they are a business class laptop and seem to stand up better to the rigors of typical laptop use. Third place I would give to Dell's Latitude line. After that most brands are hit or miss IMHO. - Diablo

My son who graduated Summa Cum Laude in Computer Science uses Sony and Apple...He just recommended the new Sony for his mother last Sunday. Isn't it a comment on our society that the Latin word " c u m" has to be deleted? By the way it means "with" The whole phrase means With Highest Praise - H A L 9000
