CorrodingYouth External hitachi hdd for xbox 360? - CorrodingYouth i have a hard drive that has all my mp3 files on it, and when i try to hook it up to my 360 via usb, it does not even read it. do i have to format it or do something particular to get my 360 to be able to pick up my mp3 files?
Best Answer: the only HDD that a 360 will read is a micrsoft branded HDD. it wont pick up any other hard drives you can now get banned for trying to mod the 360 to read third party HDDs you need to use either CDs or use the media center to get your songs their. It will read Zune tho I figured that out with the USB chord :) -
