Sony vegas is only playing the audio of AVI files? - flowers♥ Ok so i think its a codec problem so i downloaded divx but it still wont work. What can i do? The file plays the video normally on media player, but just not on sony vegas. I am new to sony vegas just got it yesterday, plz help thanks

Best Answer: As far as I know Vegas just can't play AVI files. I've tried codecs too but I have many codecs installed on my computer and they just don't fix the problem. My best suggestion is to convert your file which you can do through www.mediaconverter.com or YouTube Downloader. -

Try downloading K-Lite codec pack. (Search K-Lite, then dl, then install it...) - RUN! IT'S HIM! GET AWAY!

You still don't have the correct codec. Try other packs. - Colanth
