Best Answer: If you have broadband such as DSL or Cable then you need to get a home Wireless router. DLink, Netgear and Linksys all make models priced about the same with the same feature set, look for one on rebate. If your PC or notebook does not have a wireless card then you will need a wireless card as well. Several vendors pack a router and card in the same deal so just do some checking. If you do not have broadband but have Verizon you might want to look at their data plan. If your in a EVDO area speeds can be very good but some programs like games do not play well over their network. T-Mobile also has a pretty good data plan from what I've read but I've not used it. If your on dialup then your options are a bit limited although there are wireless routers that can use a modem instead of broadband. ok just go to a computer store and get the router make it g so its faster a lot of big stores have dirt cheap routers for like 30.00 ....good luck and keep asking :) oh and they are easy to install - uber geek
