Three Key Keyboards

By Dory Devlin - Posted Tue May 9, 2006 5:04PM EDT

Keyboards: They don't get a lot of attention. Often, they come with the desktop PC we buy, no questions asked. I took my first close look at keyboards when I was setting up a workstation for my laptop so I wouldn't have to crane my neck downward every second of the day. For everyday use, what matters most to me is the feel and placement of the keys. Of the three I checked out below, the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3100 Keyboard was the clear choice. The media controls and shortcut keys were a bonus. (Note: I bought Logitech's MX3000 model, which is similar to the MX3100 but lower in price.)
