Motorola Droid (Smartphone) Data Plan (Teen)? - Football Maniac
Hey guys, i'm 15 atm, turning 16 in January, and i am sick of flip phones. I hav had the w755(current) and the razr for the past 4 years and i am officially sick of them. I am VERY interested in buying the motorola Droid, and yes, i am very tech saavy so i wont have troubles operating it. My 1 question is this. My parents pay for my minutes (family plan) and my unlimited texting. Those will carry over to my Droid, but the $30 data plan is the tricky part. My parents don't want to pay it, because they are having hard times (this depression has hit us hard). I am willing to pay for the phone. I am getting a job soon (within a week or 2 hopefully) and i know that id be ABLE to pay the $30, but do you guys think this is worth it? Cost of phone, $270 (1 year contract and includes another fee i'll ahve to pay) and 1 year of data, $360. Is this really worth it? Should I spend my money on it? I know i wont get a car RIGHT when i turn 16, ill just use my parent's car(s). Should i spend my money on this phone?

The chipset and/or the motherboard is broken on my PC,does this mean the PCI cars etc are also broken? - Harry W
I got my father to contact a PC tech-man about my PC, he concluded that motherboard and/or the chipset is broken. He suggested we either throw the computer away, or buy a new motherboard. I went for the option of purchasing a new motherboard. Does this mean I will have to buy all new parts such as graphics cards, etc. Or will I only have to get a new motherboard and CPU?
How do I tell if the motherboard is fried of just stopped working? The tech-guy said I should get a new motherboard, so I'm assuming he didn't mean the cards and stuff as well.
I'm getting the same motherboard, just a new one. I know it sounds crazy but I'm pretty sure it's because I abused the hell out of it while it was still working.
It wasn't over the phone, he came round and looked at it.

What's the point of having a 'Smart Phone' vs. a 3g Cell Phone if you only use it for talking? - »-(¯`v´¯)-» Ġōĺďїẽ ĽðćҜš
Ok, I'm not all that hi-tech and I'm confused about the benefits of having a 'Smart Phone' vs. a regular Cell Phone with 3g Internet, Bluetooth, etc. if I'm only really using it for talking (some texting), and maybe random internet browsing here and there (not 'work related' browsing, just random 'googling' around).

The only other feature I use on my phone is the BlueTooth that hooks up to my car (my car is BlueTooth factory equipped, because talking while driving is illegal here in California).

If my cell phone has a Qwerty keyboard, 3g Internet, and hooks up to my car's Blue Tooth, is there a point for someone like me to have a "Smart Phone"?

What would be better as a hardware solution for my computer? - Clayton
Alright, recently I did some reading on the operating system BeOS. (btw info on the latest from them would be nice) I started thinking when I heard some news about how they are better at processing and then i started to wonder off into thinking about RAM.. My computer has a limit of 512 MB of ram (if there is a way to fix that tell me too) if i put any more then 512 MB of ram it blacks out, ANYWHO! my main question now is "Would it be better to put multiple RAM sticks in to equal 512, or just one" I want a faster computer to work with, but i don't want to spend $2k on a computer cause this one is just going into my car anyway.. Also if it helps with the 512 limit problem, I have a Compaq 5000a.

PS- I'm pretty computer savvy so You don't have to use any small tech words
Okay to the ass (ross) that answered, If you knew english you would understand that it was an exaggeration i know what i would have to spend, I also said this is going in my car I DO NOT WANT TO SPEND EXTRA MONEY ON A GOOD COMPUTER FOR MY >>CAR<<

What to you guys think of Windows 7? - Super F1 Man
To be honest im not very impressed with its whole style, it seems that Microsoft is just trying hard to make stuff up. Im a Vista Hater, and an XP-Pro Lover, Windows 7 really looks like Vista to be honest. It just seems like another way to gain your money by forcing us, the customer, into buying more unnecessary ram and crazier cpu's. Honestly what can Windows 7 do that XP couldnt already do. The only think Windows 7 has is its nice shiny new look's and thats pretty much it. Lets face it, XP is as good as it gets when it comes to windows, unless we start developing some kind of 3D interacting interface Operating System like Star Wars, then we really arent advancing very fast in the tech world. In the Year 2000's, I always thought we would have crazy looking cars and hardcore gadgets that boggle the mind on end, but yet we still have boring Windows 7, what do you guys think?

Ipod Classic Corrupted!? - Hannah
I've tried EVERYTHING in the book to fix my 160gb Ipod Classic. The Ipod turns on fine, the games and everything work fine, but the music got wiped out on a car-ride, it showed an error message. Anyways, got home, tried to fix it, and only the "Summary" tab would show up on itunes. It would say a corrupted ipod was detected, and that i needed to restore it before continuing. It doesn't restore... ever. It doesn't sync. My Technologically skilled friend told me that it was pretty much dead, but like every tech item, there is always a way to surpass the problems. Is there anyway I could wipe the ENTIRE ipod clean? Like the apple software, and everything? So it'll be like a empty usb drive. Then I could install a new mp3-music playing software onto it? Or anything else I could do? Please help me!!!!

How come no one can do voice control via bluetooth as well as Motorola? - Sammy
I had an old E815 M flip phone that had Motorola's voice command feature. There was no traiing involved, etc... When I used it with a sstandard bluetooth headset, I NEVER had to remove the phone from my pocket. I simply turned on the headset, clicked the button, and I was prompted to say a command... like "call home". To end the call I clicked the same button again. WHY can't anyone else get this right?
I have had a TREO an iPhone 3G and now a iPhone 3GS and they suck at dialing handsfree. Any suggestions for 3rd party software that can give me this control, or do I just have to wait and hope that Apple gets it right. This tech has been around forever. I don't understand why it is not readily available. I miss my E815M. If someone can suggest a good car speakerphone that works with my iPhone 3GS COMPLETELY hands-free in the car, you will get the win. Thanks!!

What MAG PMC are you going to be in? - Mazz
What MAG (Massive Action Game PS3 exclusive) PMC are you going to be in? PMC is Private Military Contractors. And the three selections are..
VALOR: the traditional marine kind of feel, brave soldiers.

S.V.E.R: The nitty gritty guriella improvised tough guy. Everything is very tough and improvised. like a base that was a warehouse or rusty old cars ect. There the badass PMC

RAVEN: The high tech very expierenced elite, polished PMC. Like the SAS or Navy Seals, where every operation is done perfectly and polished, the weapons are top notch and vehicals too.

Which one are you going to be in, i think i'm going to be Raven because i like the idea of being the elite well trained team. Also does anyone know what its going to be rated looks like a hard decision between M or T, (ESRB)
