LCD or Plasma Samsung? - Pitt4Real
For Christmas this year I am asking my parents for a new LCD or Plasma HDTV for my room. We have a 42" LCD out in the living room, but i've always thought picture quality looked better on plasmas. I love the Samsung brand, so I plan on getting one. If you have a better brand in mind though, please share. Anyway, my main question is should I go with a plasma or LCD??? I will be using it for my Xbox 360, and I primarily watch sports when watching TV. Idk if maybe that will help, or could be factors. Thanks.

HDTV and Security Cameras And RS232.? - Gladiater
Viore 42 Inch Plasma with RS232 Connector. Hooking up a TV for a customer who has a security camera system with an rs232 ouput cable. There is a RS232 Port on the TV. How and does this work and if so what input do you select on the tv setup menu? or how do you make this work if you can.
thanks steven m. I thought that was the case but the customer acted like he knew what he was looking for. Probable VGA is what he wants as an external monitor. Thanks for clearing this up.

Will the use of component video cables increase the picture quality from my DVD player to my new HDTV? - jaycrazy
I just recently purchased a 32" 720p LCD TV. The DVD quality isn't as sharp as I expected it to be. I'm not yet ready to upgrade to Blu-ray. I'm currently using the composite cables (red, white, yellow). I noticed that my DVD player has component video output and my TV obviously has a component input. I understand the audio will be separate from this.

Will using component video cables noticeably improve the DVD image quality?

Can I connect my new iPod touch to an HDTV this way? - stickdude
I know I might just have to go buy the composite cables, but my tv has a usb port on it. I am SURE that it is a usb port, NOT an HDMI port. Will video output from the ipod work if I use the cable that came with it? (The standard usb cable in the box.)
