big question about the blackberry? pleas help! verizon data plan? - GusB
i use to have a juke phone but it got wet and well died. so i used my old lg but the phone is old and i can barely use it anymore. So i need a phone. my friend gifted me a bb 8730e. i went to Verizon and found out i have to pay 30 dollars extra each month. is there a way around this 30 dollar? do they do exceptions?? i mean come on, my upgrade is like 5 month away my Lg phone is barely doing the job. i read online that Verizon do provide pay per use but article is dated 2007 so they might changed the rules i don't know. anyway, i know many people asked this question before and the answer is no but that's when they are upgrading of just signing a new contract would they do exception for my case?

Can i use an ATA-6 harddrive with an ATA-5 compatible laptop? - Josh K
i don't expect most of you to even remember ATA, as the world has been taken by storm by SATA, but i am making a picture frame out of an old laptop, and long story short, the laptop has a 6gb hdd. just enough for windows and some pictures. I wanted to upgrade to something a bit larger so that i could fit more into it, but i can't find an ATA-5 drive anywhere. my concern is that the connector might be different.

Thanks.
thanks for the responses, it doesn't use a ribbon, just a souldered connector onto one of the daughter boards, but if the ribbon is the same, i guess the connector should be the same too.

If I re-install my computer, how can I save my software? - joeylejoker
I am thinking of doing a system restore on my vista or perhaps upgrading to windows 7. My plan is to backup my important files and do what needs to be doing, put files back on. But there are a couple softwares i am worried about. For example..

I downloaded as part of a special deal some pro version of Microsoft office with all the different programs, and I am worried I will lose it if I re-install my software as I do not have disks, it was a download. Is there anyway to work around this?

The main reason I am doing this is because my computer seems to be a bit.. slow as of late, which is incredible as it is a fairly strong laptop. 4 GB ram, 2ghz duo-processor.

The main problem i think is: Windows Vista 64 bit. But meh..

thanks for your help!!!

SNL (sat night live)
I have a question regarding RAM memory can someone explain this to me plz? - SNL (sat night live)
Okay, I have a Dell Desktop with Windows XP when I had 1GB of Memory it was using about 50% (at first it was 30% but after a while it went to 50%) so I upgraded it to 3GB and now it's only using 20% at most. I have another Dell Laptop with Windows Vista and 2GB of memory and it's using about 50% (2GB is the max that laptop can handle). So what I've figured out from looking at these figures is that I need memory that is several times (3 or more) the recommended amount if I want a computer to use 30% or less RAM.

So if my theory is correct I need at least 6GB to be able to run Windows 7 with 30% usage. (I don't play games it's just normal everyday tasks) So is this this theory of mine correct or will 4GB run windows 7 with 30% usage too.
