Everthing went pretty well for the first few weeks, then when the TV was turned on there was a loud "clicking" or switching noise coming from the set. Then it started changing formats at will like it was possessed. The clicking sound became worse and never stopped. Toshiba service was useless. They sent out a fly by night tv tech who had no idea what he was doing. He said it needed some kind of circuit panel but Toshiba would take up to 8 weeks to get it. Suffered for 10 weeks of loud noises and format switch every few seconds only to find out the part would not be available for several more weeks. I took this junky tv back, couldnt get a refund but did get a credit to buy another tv. I upgraded to a Sony and now have a perfect flat screen for the superbowl. My advice, stay away from Toshiba poor quality products, they are junk.

I thought I did a great job finding this TV at a great price. My thrill soon dimished after turning it on. After hours of trying and on the phone with Toshiba service I could not change the screen format, full, theatre wide etc etc. Finally Toshiba service said there was nothing else they could do and it must be a defect and would have to send someone out. Well I have been waiting on the callback to schedule service for days, and have called 3 more times to get it scheduled with nothing happening. After 3 weeks of watching this TV on normal screen (lousy for DVD's) I took it back. I didnt tell Toshiba this, but it's been over a month now and the service call has never happended. Save yourself the headaches, do not buy this problem TV.
