I am amazed at the number of positive reviews and recommendations I read that convinced me to buy this phone. THIS THING IS AWEFUL!!

What I was looking for: A sensible data organizer and phone with good computer synchronization, decent video playback, and mp3 player.

What I got: A phone that is made to look and appear impressive but is utterly gutless. Want to see if you missed any calls? Push button for Log wait 2 seconds. Push button for Open Log wait 2 seconds. Push button for Missed calls wait 3 seconds. Sure, it's only 7 seconds, which doesn't sound long, but it feels long when all you want is to see that last call you missed! It's that way for every feature of the phone. It is annoyingly, irritatingly slow.

I was excited to put video on the phone and messed with it for a long time. The phone was too slow to play back decent video and would therefore only play music videos at the same low 3gp quality (or lower) as you'll get on any other normal cell phone.

The mp3 player annoyingly only plays one song at a time. That means you must go back to the file, Open the song, and press play for every new song. No continuous play. There's probably 3rd party software though.

I had another Nokia phone that also had Infrared capabilities. The phones would not link up to copy my contacts over, as Nokia promotes. There is also no import/export feature in the included software for contacts from another csv file or other source. All I could find was acceptance for .wab files (outlook).

The buttons are hard to push without accidentally pushing the wrong one. Oh, and if someone gives you an 800 number like 1-800-Cingular, then you'd better try to remember what numbers correspond to the letter C, I, N, etc. because it's not on this phone. It also interferes with my computer speakers, monitor, and telephone land line at work. I don't think the FCC would be happy about this.

This phone would be alright if it weren't SO DARN SLOW!!!! If you decide to get this phone anyways, I highly recommend that you ensure a return policy on it. My phone is going back. Not only did it fall far short of being an efficient organizer AND by so designing it, it also loses the capability of even being a decent cell phone. I'll take my 2 year old Nokia of this anyday. I have a feeling there will be a lot of refurbished E-62's available in the near future.

I have read many, many positive reviews on this phone. I went back to learn which sites not to trust anymore. Reading carefully it appears those who reviewed it are columnists, paid reviewers, or someone trying to boost the hits on their website. Not those who actually own the phone.
