For such a pricey printer, one would hope this printer can last for more than a few months. I got my original one almost one year ago, then experienced a loud grinding sound from the printer when it goes into the automatic maintenance mode. It then gave me an error message and the printer stopped working. The tech support person told me that it's possible the gear wasn't catching on to the print head. I got a replacement from them (probably a refurb.) and after only a few months with the replacement one, the same problem occurred. Since my 1-year warranty is almost up, I'm thinking that it's not worth trying to get another refurb one. I just started doing some search on the net for feedback on this printer and found multiple complaints on this printer. I wish I had done this kind of research a year ago before buying this printer. For a $300+ printer, you'd think it would last more than just a few months at a time.
