Tech support took 2 weeks to respond. Returned it.
On new and old DVDs it would hesitate for 5 seconds during the playback. This is was on several DVDs and several times within a movie.
Definitely not if you use DVDR or DVDRW
I purchased a Oppo next and never looked back.

This is my second upconverting DVD this year. I love it. It plays any DVD without complaint. The image quality is second only to a true HD DVD. Looks better than any HDTV show. Is a must have for my 500+ DVD library, that I am not ready to re-buy in HD yet.
Still waiting for the format war to end.
