Lens Cap error after 14 months of usage

I bought this camcorder after a lot of research and was very happy customer for one year. Exactly after one year 14 months to be exact, I got the dreaded "Lens Cap" error.



So far the company has refused to repair it, even though it has a recall on other models with the same error. To repair it will cost around $150 at a JVC tech shop. Really unhappy with the entire experience and will never buy another JVC product ever again.
