Got this for my daughter to take quick, impromtu videos of friends and activities. It satisfies that requirement easily. However, takes poor shots indoors without ALOT of light and, due to small viewer, it is difficult to see what is being viewed. It is easy to hook up to a tv for reviewing the videos, and it is pretty easy to use.
She loves it. Her main complaint, however, is the immoveable viewer. That simple update, as well as the capability to hook up an aftermarket light (for indoor shots), would make this a great camera for older kids, or those that just want a video camera for minor jobs.

For the price, this is a great camera. It is not to be used for professional pictures, but for my teenage daughter to keep in her purse (for those 'oh so important' snaps of friends) it is perfect.
She was able to use it immediately and has taken hundreds of photos in the past week. She had only one complaint - the lag time between pressing the shutter button and actual picture being taken (about a second).
