I originally purchased this TV for about $2400 a couple of years ago. I've been happy with it until last week when all of a sudden the tv just died. I don't even think it's the projection lamp as there is no sound, and I assume that if the projection lamp died then I would have sound, just no picture. Considering how much this thing cost, I am very unhappy. It is very unlikely that Panasonic will ever get another dime from me again.
Even if it was just the projection lamp that died, I still find that unacceptable, as there is no reason why anyone should have to pay $300 every couple of years in order to replace a component. Whatever happend to the days when a tv set would work for 10 or 20 years???
