Good Printer, Good Price02/26/08

I was able to get this printer for about $220 at a local retailer, and after two months am still really liking it. The print speed is great, but the printer takes forever to warm up from standby mode, which is the only mode in which it does not make a constant and annoying fan noise. The scanner, copier, and fax all work great, and so far the PC driver has been one of the best and most intuitive I've used. Unfortunately, what comes out is a lot lighter, even with toner save off, than the work from my 1998 LaserJet 6P. The toner is also very expensive, and the duty cycle of the cartridge seems relatively low.

All of that being said, for the price, this is a great printer, and if you don't mind cutting a few corners, it fills all the basic needs of a home office.
