A GREAT phone for any use.04/23/07

Pros:
EXTREMELY durable, MP3, storage feature, so many ways to connect...
Cons:
iTunes connectivity with Windows sucks, takes almost half an hout for the full list of songs to go through, keeps freezing up, and you have to go through hell to remove the 100 song limit.

I've had this phone since the firstweek it came out. I don't know where to begin, this phone has so many great features. It's a phone, MP3 Player and a flash drive in one.

I can transfer songs, pictures and videos from and to my laptop wirelessly with bluetooth, one-touch.MP3 feature I use on linux (works better than it ever did on windows), and I LOVE it. Transfers are almost instant, so who cares if you're limited to 100 songs, that's like 5 full CDs that you can just drag and drop on and off your phone.

I got a 1GB MicroSD card too, so I have my 512 for music and pictures and the other one I use for files. Transferring a movie, a school project or a document is effortless, when you plug in your phone, it's detected and used as a USB flash drive (I hate the fact that it's limited to a 1GB card, but it was their first attempt at a memory card phone, and the cards are so small, you can carry multiple ones in your pocket). The USB connector is a GREAT feature. I can use it on any computer with any generic cable or charge it at a frien'd desk.

The greatest thing is the durability. I use this as a work phone and it's in my toolbelt all day, I've dropped it from a telephone pole multiple times, the worst thing that ever happened is the battery cover came off once.

After a year, the battery lasts for a week even if I use the MP3 now and then (My v400 ended up having to be re-charged every night afret 2 years of use).

A feature I recently discovered is that you can use your GPRS connection through your USB cable on a PC, so I can have internet access anywhere for $14.99, instead of paying $80 a month for the stupid card (this is how much unlimited GPRS access is for Cingular).

With the motorola mobile phone tools, you can edit your listings, phonebooks and profiles through your PC in a spreadsheet format and you can use your PC as a handsfree device using it's microphone and speakers.

Pros:
Great scanning and printing quality, good printing speed. a lot of features, able to print directly from a media card with it's built-in reader, or USB cable directly from camera. The cheapest one from the 9600 x 2400 dpi multi-function printers.
Cons:
Software. It'd be great if canon would make the printing and scanning and editing programs only one.

Out of the whole MP series this is the only one that doesn't have a Linux driver written atm, so It's sitting on my desk useless. I bought it when I had Windows and now I can't use it.
