Pros:
A good camcorder for an affordable price for the first time owner
Cons:
No software for pc

I've had this camera for over two months. I can't really compare it to any other camcorder because this is my first.

All cords (except the one to download to a pc) are included, battery and battery charger were included in the box. After charging the battery for several hours, it is ready for use.

Price wise, it was a bit pricey at $299 at Sears. For that price, there should have been

a carrying case with it, but

I had to buy my own. The features are easy to handle at a touch of the thumb. The dial for camera or play is on the right and a simple turn of the dial.

The LCD screen is huge and in color with the different modes at a simple touch of the menu button which moves like a simple joy stick.

Playback on television is a snap with the cords provided. They are color coded to the plugs to the television for easy set up.

Can easy mount up to a floor model tripod.

Honestly, if one takes the time and READS the book that comes with the ZR500, and go through it step by step with the camera in hand, there should be no problems in using this. For a novice, like me, this is perfect.

Pros:
An affordable all in one machine for those on a budget
Cons:
A bit bulky; better explanation of how features work.

This is my fourth Canon product and my third Canon printer since 1994.

This is a good printer.fax.scanner.copier for those on a budget who need a fax machine also and need the ability to save money when buying ink cartridges.

The basic text print is excellent. Color printing is bright and clear. When one makes a copy, it can be barely distinguished from the original.

The dual paper trays are a plus. The software is easy to use.

The interface to switch from copier, to fax, to scanner is wonderful and easy to use, it just takes a while to get use to it.

There are no card slots for the various digital camers data cards, only a usb plug from camera to photo printing.

This is a fine machine for someone that just wants something to work efficiently without the frills.

The price on this was great also. Canon has a Loyalty Program of which I was able to join and it got me an extra 10% off the final price when I directly purchased it from Canon.
