It's an awesome GPS. This gadget is great for hiking. They probably make better products out there, but i don't see a reason for paying more when this thing does it all.
Here's the pros:
lightweight
shows all the roads even forest service roads. pretty detailed mapping.
calculates everything, eta, miles per hour, anything.
it'll show you where hotels, rest areas, gas stations, hospitals, etc.... are located at and how far away they are. It even gives you the phone number to those places.
This thing really has way too many cool things to list. I was really surprised how much this thing could do.
battery life: Even battery life is much better than what most electronic devices have. Two AA batteries will last you 12 hours if not more. I wish my camcorder did that, or my laptop.
Here's the cons:
price: hopefully it's gone down since I bought mine about a year ago.
range: it's accuracy is a little more off than what I thought it would be. If you use tracking, you'll notice when you begin to back track that the lines may not overlap each other. Sometimes it can be off by 20 ft. Unless you're a serious geocacher and looking for precise locations, then this thing being off a little isn't a big deal. You'll know where you're at at all times.
Finding satellites: It takes awhile locating 3 satellites. Usually about 5 minutes or so. Plus, it seems like you have to stand still while it's locating them.
Bottom line though, this device is probably the coolest gadget I've ever owned. If you're an outdoors kinda guy or gal this thing is pretty sweet.

I'm happy with my purchase. Although, if I would have come to this site earlier I would have realized I could have bought this gadget much cheaper. I unfortunately paid the full $749.00.
I really like the 60 GB hard drive. The LCD screen is pretty cool, but I do hate getting my fingerprints on the screen. Oh well. It doesn't take long to figure out how to operate the camera. I like the size, feel, features, pretty much everything except what I'm about to list.
Nightshot.....what a waste of money!!!!!!! There's very little difference in using Nightshot and regular lighting. Fortunately, Sony makes an accessory that helps Nightshot perform they way it is supposed to. Without that accessory Nightshot is practically worthless.
And of course....battery life. If you're using the camera to it's full potential, meaning, you are using the high quality/definition filming, which is one of the main features of this camcorder then it will eat your battery life FAST! I plan on buying the biggest battery they have to offer. Hopefully that will keep me from recharging after every hour or less.
That's about it. So far it's a really good purchase. It has the potential to be a sweet camera, and fortunately, they have the accessories to do so.
Oh yeah, one more thing. The accessory booklet that came with the camera said that if you register your camera at the provided website that you would get a 15% discount on you accessories. Well, I registered, but when I tried to purchase the accessories they didn't give me a 15% discount. I guess I'll just have to call and see what the deal is.

PROS: 1. THE PHONE LOOKS NICE (BLACK & SILVER). 2. CINGULAR, IN MY OPINION, HAS THE BEST RANGE FOR CELLULAR PHONES.
CONS: WHERE TO BEGIN, 1. IT'S HARD TO HEAR PEOPLE ON THE OTHER END. I HAD THE VOLUME MAXED OUT AND IT STILL WASN'T ADEQUATE. AND I KNOW THAT I'M NOT HARD OF HEARING. 2. THE BATTERY LIFE ISN'T VERY LONG. I HAVE TO CHARGE IT UP ONCE EVERY 2 DAYS, AND I DON'T EVEN USE THE PHONE THAT OFTEN. 3. IT IS TOO EASY TO BREAK. I HAD IT IN MY POCKET AND WHILE I WAS GETTING INTO MY TRUCK IT GOT PRESSED UP AGAINST MY LEG AND THE STEERING WHEEL AND RUINED THE FRONT SCREEN, AND CAUSED THE INSIDE SCREEN TO BLINK EVERY 4 SECONDS. THE SAD THING IS, THE STEERING WHEEL DIDN'T EVEN PRESS UP AGAINST IT VERY HARD. 4. I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD A RING TONE AND IT DIDN'T WORK, BUT I THINK I GOT CHARGED FOR IT ANYWAY. 5. I'VE HAD THE PHONE ONLY A WEEK AND THESE ARE THE PROBLEMS THAT I'VE ENCOUNTERED. I WOULD RATHER KEEP MY PRIOR PHONE THAT I'VE HAD FOR 3 YEARS THAN KEEP USING THIS ONE. 6. BECAUSE OF THE CHEAPER PLAN THAT I GOT I HAD TO PAY THE FULL PRICE FOR THE PHONE, SO PAYING $180.00 FOR A PHONE THAT HAS THIS MANY PROBLEMS IN JUST A WEEK IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY MONEY!
