One problem with TomTom is that because it's made in Europe, the US map update is at least 3 years behind. I visited a community that is 3 years old, TomTom still doesn't have a map update. US brand such as Garmin already have all the maps.

hard to get support in the US

My unit stopped working after 1 month. Every time the car went over a bump, the unit lost all the setting and needed re-programming.

TomTom is made in Europe and has terrible support in the US. WebSite says email will be replied within 48 hours, I waited for 3 weeks for a simple answer. POI are mostly for Europe, very limited in US. Map update in US is at least 3 years behind.
