Pros:
More tools than a swiss army knife

dumbed-down feeling

This product is the best piece of software known to man. I have been using Panther for a year now, and decided to upgrade to Tiger shortly after it's arrival. It's sweeeet... They aren't lying when they say it has 400 new features! If it doesn't already have what you want, you can get it pretty easily off the web. The only bad thing about the OS is the way they dumbed it down enough for a lizard to understand it, making a keyboard almost optional. However, you can go under the hood with a terminal if you want to, making the most flexible and extensive OS since Torvalds opened a text editor. Drop whatever you are doing and get it NOW. It'll give you everything a computer is meant to be, presented in glorious eye candy and widgety goodness. I'm running a PowerMac G4 with dual 450 processors and 512 MB RAM, and it's running pretty smoothly.
