Price: $749.99 - $749.99
I had recently sold my car that had an Alpine navigation unit in it, and once I purchased a new car, I realized that I was lost without a navigation unit. I shopped around for a new navigation unit, and I found the Pioneer Avic-N1.
Upon installation, I had difficulty figuring out how to work all the controls through the touchscreen, but after a couple hours of practice, I began to figure out how to work most of the controls. When I started to drive around and find random destinations, I noticed that the navigation unit is usually off by about a hundred feet, and unlike the Alpine, this one does not tell you which side of the street your destination is on. On the plus side, the listing of Points of Interest is much more organized than it is on the Alpine unit.
When I tested the DVD player, the controls are a bit confusing, but the picture quality is great. You can adjust the screen to several formats, and the sound quality is great.
Overall, this is an excellent unit with a great price. My only major complaint is that there is no remote. I would definately recommend this unit to friends.
