40D - No surprises, just better06/24/09

I am an old canon user, from film, to the 10D, 30D and 40D, as well as the 1Ds. So, it came as no surprise that the 40D delivers as promised. Canon has had the smarts to maintain a consistency in MOI and layout over the years, making the break in period a short one. I don't use some of the style aspects, but rather focus more on clean RAW shooting. The focusing is very quick, and I work mainly in the aperture priority mode. I appreciate the preview quality, especially when shooting studio work, integrating the canon software and my mac. As far as value, in the end, it shows. Plus, the support is excellent. Working with the Canon EF lenses makes using the 40D a smooth picture capture system as well. I whole heartedly recommend this camera body as excellent operationally, results' wise and value. Plus, the Conon organization is always there when you need it.
