Only one bad thing so far1183473308

Pros:
Bang for buck, HDMI & Component, Assignable inputs
Cons:
Tedious menu, no upconvert

I just bought this receiver last week, and except for a couple of little things, I am reasonably happy. With component and HDMI switching, my input-stingy philips tv is no longer a problem. The only thing I wish is that it could upconvert component signals to HDMI. Then I would never have to change the input on my TV. But with my harmony remote, that's hardly a problem. Sound quality is clear, undistorted, and loud enough for my liking. With the autocalibration feature, even my audiovox speakers sound awesome. One thing that this receiver has that a lot in the price range do not is assignable digital inputs, so you're not limited to certain combinations of inputs with dedicated functions. Another nice feature is being able to rename those assigned inputs, so you don't have to remember that "video 1" is your TV, and TV/Sat is your DVD player. The combinations are virtually limitless. Overall, very happy with the purchase, I just wish it would upconvert my component signals to HDMI.
