Pros:

I love this camera. It was great for it's price and it has everything that you can want in camera.It takes very nice photos and the movie mode is also great the picture quality is good.

Cons:

The 2 biggest cons are that 1.This camera eats battery life like crazy...you will need rechargeable if you plan to take alot of photos. 2. The flash is slow sometimes

I bought this camera to replace the nikon that I already had....horrible camera I wanted to throw it into the hudson river. I looked for a camera for a whole year. It came down to the a710 or a570.I finally settled on the 570 after I did tons of research and went to the store and played around with them a little bit. I purchased it from j and r music world along with a power 2000 charger and rechargeable batteries. I also bought a 2gb sandisk ultra II memory card. This camera I would recommend it to someone who is looking for a camera with alot of features without a paying a whole lot of money.
1 thing I learned that is helpful
1.Never transfer photos on a low battery you can lose you pics.
