Worst TV ever, died within hours

I thought I had found a good deal on a decent size lcd. My mistake! After setting this TV up and turning it on I was immediately disappointed withe the picture. I spent hours trying to adjust it, but it just got worse. The available options for settings is limited and it never got any better. Then after only 8 hours of use it died, no picture at all. Toshiba customer service was horrible!! Kept me on hold almost 1 hour and when I got a real person I was referred back to where I bought it. I managed to box it back up and take it back. I couldnt get a refund, was offered an exchange but the service desk suggested a I get a credit and use it for a different manufacture as they had several of these same sets returned. I purchased a Samsung and now enjoy a great tv with a great picture. Toshiba needs to do something about their quality control before they release these things on the public.
