Bad/Questionable parts and craftsmanship1221781623

Pros:
Easy to use with decent picture/sound quality
Cons:
TV quality is questionable...Screen goes black when turned on

Do not buy this SHARP TV (or other Sharp TVs) for the following reason:

The quality of the parts used and/or craftsmanship of the TV is not good. After a year or so every time I turn on the TV the screen stays black. I have to cut the TV on/off many times for it to finally return a picture. Sometimes I have to totally unplug it before a picture is returned. If you research this issue on google it seems to happen a lot. I contacted customer service who informed me since my one year warranty is up they can do nothing for me even though it seems to be a widespread manufacturing issue.
