Pros:

Auto, manual and preprogrammed settings; metal housing feels substantial unlike junky plastic competition

Flash can overpowering at times; IS still leaves some images shaky; no internal memory

I love this camera. I've had it for four months and use it almost everyday. I use it for going out on the town, parties, scenic shots of flowers and plants, passing traffic (blur effects) and I use it to snap images when something around me inspires. There's an auto setting, manual, macro, portrait, night snapshot, color accent, color swap (very cool), indoor, kids and pets, sunset, foliage, snow, beach, fireworks, aquarium, and undewater. Each setting is customizable.

My only beef is that when using this camera in low light conditions, the flash does its job too well. I like a more natural pic and wish I could adjust the firing of the flash to be less intense. Also, the image stabilization (IS) is less than perfect and still allows some shaky shots.

Don't just buy this camera as a point-and-shoot. There are other cameras out there for much cheaper which serve that purpose. Spend some time with the owner's manual, test the different settings out on the same object to get a feel, and enjoy.
