Every year, the Boston consumer group World Against Toys Causing Harm (WATCH) puts out its top 10 list of worst toys to buy during the holiday season. The group had a lot to choose from this year, and settling on 10 seems, as The Consumerist notes, kind of pointless.
Still, the more information, the better for parents who are trying to find safe toys for their children, so the list is worth checking out. Top on the WATCH list (bringing it to 11 with this alert) is Aqua Dots, one of the most recently recalled toys of 2007, which saw 25 million toys under 70 brands recalled for safety issues, including lead paint and other toxic materials.
Aqua Dots, colored beads used in kids' craft projects, were found to contain toxic chemicals that convert to a dangerous date-rape drug when ingested. There have been at least two reports of children swallowing the beads and slipping into a temporary comatose state.
You'll find some familiar names on the list: a Dora the Explorer lamp, Go Diego Go Animal Rescue Boat, Jack Sparrow's Spinning Dagger, Spiderman 3 New Goblin Sword. But there are also some lesser-known toys, like Sticky Stones, magnetized iron ore stones that WATCH warns can be choking hazards.
Check out the full list on the WATCH web site, and proceed with care and caution down the toy aisles this holiday season.

lol these things are really funny but yes they are really dangerous as if the child won't put the thing in their mouth!
ok so this list isn't so bad, but i dont think theres a "bad" toy for kids.
Can you believe all of the toys that have been recalled? I'm glad that I didn't ask for any of those for christmas!!! It's all videogames for me!
Okay, there's only one thing I need to say. "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" The majority of the toys they list are toys that "do not give enough of a warning to make a strong enough suggestion for proper safety". Any parent with half a brain should know that anything that bounces, drives, rocks, or spins is a potential hazard and should be used at their own risk as it is. They also take into account anything that could potentially have an "impact injury"... A stick off of a fallen tree in their back yard could present a potential for an impact injury. I think this is just another attempt by an already heated media to further scare the public. Now, while I do agree that toys like Aqua Dots and the Sticky Stones do present a considerably larger hazard, toys like the Hip Hoppa (or what the heck ever) are like any bicycle you've ever owned. Ride at your own risk without proper equipment. If parents really need a "bad toy list" to tell them what not to buy, maybe they shouldn't be parents in the first place.
Thats is kindof stupid, i mean, who would take the time to make the list first of all, because if a toy is already recalled, they say in the paper "TOY RECALLED, see below for reason" or something like that. Second, those toy WARNINGs are just a possibility, i mean, Who would swallow a magnet, or eat a pacifier, kids playing with those toys should already be old enough to know what they shouldn't do. Third, and Lastly, Who gives a darn?!?!? A worried mother/father(that worries about her children) is not going to buy a toy that says for ages older than his/her children's age, and even if he/she does, Who is going to leave a child 18 months old on their own for 2 hours to eat something? The father/mother will be will the child the whole time and if they see the child put something up to his/her mouth's, They'll be like "... Don't put that in your mouth! You don't eat that!!" So whoever put the 10 worst toys thing up, wasted about 2-6 hours.... AND P.S. I have seen more dangerous toys than that intended for young kids and yet, Do i see them up on the top ten list? NOOOOOO I DON'T
my son puts everything in his mouth like he is saying "mine!" so this is really helping
If they have small pieces in them don't get them for little kids! Why are there parents buying these Aqua Dots when they have little kids around the house? It's not the companies fault. I bet the box even has like an 8 and up thing on it. So it's the parents fault. They are to moronic to realize they have small pieces and shouldn't be used around little children
shut up, don't listen to her, all of those toys were on my want list, and they are all awesome!!!!
