Have (3) THREE Ojos. One is with my daughter at school in FL. One is with me and the family at home. The third is with my son at Drexel. The product is amazing! We speak Ojo to Ojo for free. But the beauty of the Ojo is that no matter how far away we are, it is like being there in the same room. My friends in NY and Maui recently got their Ojos. Last night, we lit up a cigar, put our feet up on our desks and had a glass of wine together - Just like a visit, EXACTLY like being there!!
Sure wish I had my four Ojo's when my daughters were in college! They've moved on now, but I keep in touch with them (and my elderly mother) on a daily basis. It's truly like being there...without having to make a trip. I never want to go back to an old voice-only phone again. I had a web cam but threw it in the trash because of the poor quality. The Ojo operates without a computer and is very easy to use; actually easier than a regular voice-only phone. It's great for the grandparents too. Try it, you'll be doing yourself and your student(s) a favor. PS: 101 Phones at http://www.101phones.com/ has great prices.
I too have purhased three Ojo's and so have a number of my friends. Quite surprised by my contnued use of it on a daily basis. Worldgate is correct when they say "its not a phone call, it's like a visit". I hope the company does as well as the videophone.
I work for a large nationwide engineering company and they decided to purchase the Ojo for every office last April (23 all together) They are awesome, we use them to communicate with all of our other offices. Some of our long time clients have been so jealous and impressed that they decided to go with Ojo too. I bought one for myself as did at least 20-25 other employees across the USA. Great picture and support from Worldgate (not Motorola). The most impressive thing is the fact that they don't come out with new versions every 3 months like cell phones and pc's do. They made them to last and they don't need anything else done to them in my opinion. Try one you will be impressed, I promise you.

I'm gald to see Yahoo doing an article on the Ojo it is a remarkable piece of technology. To be honest, it can't be compared to a web cam. The Ojo is far superior in quality to any web cam I have seen. The $14.95 allows you to call anywhere in the world for the flat monthly fee and talk face to face with other Ojo users. There has become quite a following of Ojo users around the world. The video and voice synchronization is amazing; whether you call 5 miles or 5000 miles the quality is the same...perfect! I would recommend it to any parent who wants to keep in touch with students away at school or any other family or friend. $250 is less than I paid for my cell phone. It is a great buy! Buy some and be amazed.
