Add MothersClick to the growing list of social-networking sites for moms.
The recently launched, easy-to-navigate site is designed to help moms of young children connect with each other. But unlike other online networks, a major focus of this one is on connecting moms and their kids in real life.
You can find a play group that already exists in your area, or start a new, private one. And if you've got some questions you want to run by some other moms, you can ask them on MothersClick, too.
There are blogs and places to post information on the site, but we don't really use the site for chat purposes, rather for planning real activities and events for the kids, like play dates, one mom told TechWeb in this article about the web site.
For new at-home moms who feel isolated from peers, or working moms who are looking to connect with other moms with similar aged children, this site could be a godsend. There are pages of playgroups and moms clubs from across the country. It seems easy to use and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for others moms to connect with—in person.
Check it out, and if any moms have connected on MothersClick, let us know.

Hi, interesting comments :) Did you know that Minti (www.minti.com) launched a Web 2.0 style parent-to-parent advice and Q&A site with lots of social features like friends and flexible groups back in March 2006? Most other new-tech blogs recognise we came out pretty early by comparison to the recent rash of new entrants and we would love to have you mention us too :) Perhaps most interesting is the recent completion of our back-end platform to support ranked advice communities for almost any vertical market which we are licensing through www.vibecapital.com All the best Matt - Minti Co-founder
