How many times have you used your cameraphone to capture those special moments? While visiting Los Angeles last year, I stumbled upon the red carpet premiere of The Longest Yard. Good thing I, and countless others had a cameraphone with us to snap shots of Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Nelly, and even Constantine (American Idol) when they came over to greet the crowd. Makes for a nice wallpaper.

The beauty of cameraphones is that you'll always have one handy, compared to that $400 digital camera that sits at home most of the time. I don't know about you, but I always feel awkward whipping out my digital camera to take a photo, whereas I don't have that problem when I take a picture with a cameraphone. It's almost like it's more socially acceptable.

The guys over at Digital Photography School came up with 13 tips to help you improve your camera phone photos.  Although most cameraphones still take lower quality photos, you can always adopt a few techniques to make your snapshots look fantastic. Here are my favorite tips:

• Lighting is key. How many times have you taken a picture at night only to have to delete it because it was too dark? More light equals better pictures.
  
  
• Get close. Fill up the screen with your subject without touching the zoom buttom. When using camcorders and digital photos, it's always best to lay off the zoom button.
  
  
• Avoid blurry pictures by keeping your camera steady. Remember that "shutter lag", and hold your position even after pressing that button.
