I like to keep my photos in digital format, and when I decide to print them, I only print the really good ones as part of a photobook or to frame them. Printing can get expensive, especially for shutterbugs like me who fill up their memory cards with hundreds of pictures, then can't decide which ones to print.
I came across the HP Photosmart A820 Home Photo Center on Shiny Shiny, and I just loved how it looks like a real photo center. The mini photo center has a 7-inch touchscreen so you can add graphics, messages, borders, and writing to your snapshots. And just like the HP Photosmart R827 camera, this printer has editing tools that make people look thinner, as well as red eye removal and other photo enhancement tools.
Photos can be printed directly from several types of memory cards, so you don't even need a computer, and with an optional Bluetooth adapter, you can even print photos from your mobile phone. The egg-shaped printer holds 100 sheets of paper to print wallet size, panorama, and up to 5 x 7 photos. It retails for $250 and is available now. I think this will be a hot item during the holidays. What do you think?

Well, it's portable. Seems easy to use. You could take it to a party, take some pics with your camera, and print them for your friends right there. It doesn't tie up your computer, it's touchscreen is simple enough for just about anyone to use, it frees up your regular printer so you don't have to keep on swapping out your 8 x 11 document sheets for that 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 paper all the time, and the simple software menu probably duplicates most of the features that photo-printing junkies would use without having to much around on a PC. My 'technology challenged' parents (who don't have a computer) would love this and a digital camera. Me, I don't want to have to provide computer tech support for them, so this looks like it made my shopping list. :)
