There aren't many (if any) sounds systems available for the iPhone just yet, but that will soon change in the coming year. Engadget highlighted one of the sexiest systems I've seen for the iPhone, set to debut at next year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Called the iPhone Station, the slim concave design holds the iPhone upright so that you can watch videos and play music with style.

Businessweek says Ammunition Group partnered with Jibe Audio, Menlo Scientific, and Innovation Acoustic to build the sleek iPhone Station, which "combines speakers, DVD playback, Internet radio, and a high-quality speakerphone." Other features may include Bluetooth audio and of course, iPhone synchronization.

The sleek iPhone station was designed by Robert Brunner, who led Apple's PowerBook design team from 1989 to 1996. That's really all we know about the mysterious iPhone Station slated to go on sale in the first half of 2008, possibly at Apple stores. I'm looking forward to this particular iPhone accessory, and will report back with more details next month.

Looks too expensive. After blowing my money on the iPhone, I probably won't be able to afford it. :(

It looks good but I don't think it sounds good. The speaker is too thin to sound good.
