Remember I told you I
would bring you video of WALL·E from the Maker Faire?
Well, here it is. Chris Heatherly, Vice President of Consumer Electronics
was kind enough to give me a demo of the adorable Ultimate WALL·E this
past weekend at the Maker Faire.
Ultimate WALL·E
is a Disney's advanced robot that features ten motors, sonic ears, and sensors
to keep him from bumping into furniture. He responds to the sound of a person's
voice, and can detect when someone is in the room. It was too noisy to test
its
voice activation system at the Maker Faire, but otherwise it was great to
see WALL·E patrol the area, dance, and, show us its emotions.
Disney-Pixar's animated flick WALL·E is expected to be out this summer, as is the Ultimate WALL·E robot who will be available through Toys R US for $190. Check out the video with Chris Heatherly to get a better idea of what WALL·E can do.
