Ultra mobile computers are the new black, it seems. ASUS has one, Dell is working on one, and MSI will be launching its Wind notebook (stands for Wi-Fi Network Device) later this month, which boasts an Intel Atom 1.6GHz processor. Aside from being a diminutive 10-inch laptop, the Wind Notebook weighs 2.6 pounds, ships in Linux or Windows, and will be available in three solid colors including pink.

It's good to hear the keyboard will only be 20 percent smaller than a full-sized one because that seems to be the biggest problem with these tiny computers. If you already have an ASUS Eee PC, you won't want to hear this: the Wind PC Windows version features an 80GB SATA hard drive, a webcam, Bluetooth, card reader, and multiple USB ports all for the low price of $499 or $399 for the Linux based model. Both computers will be available after June 16th at msimobile.com.

In terms of specifications, this particular notebook will probably be more comparable to Dell's upcoming UMPC, than ASUS's Eee PC, but we won't know for sure until Dell gives us more details regarding its mini-Inspiron notebook.
